We started with one community's frustration. We stayed because the problem was bigger than we thought — and the people we could help were too.
The Beginning
A dream that took flight
Anu came to Sydney in 2009 the same way most Nepali students do — hopeful, a little overwhelmed, and figuring it out as he went. He picked up a job at a travel agency to pay the bills. That temporary job turned into nine years.
Day after day, the people sitting across his desk were his own community. Nepali nurses, students, labourers — working hard, sending money home, and getting a worse deal than they deserved every time they tried to buy a flight back to Kathmandu.

Growing Together
From Australia to the world
For the first couple of years, Skytrips wasn't much to look at.
It was Anu, a small room, a laptop, and whatever spare hours he could find after work. No office. No team. Just him fielding calls, booking flights, and solving problems for Nepali families in Australia who had nobody else to call. Word spread quietly — one customer told a cousin, that cousin told a colleague, and slowly the phone kept ringing.
But he knew a phone and a spreadsheet could only take him so far.

Anu called his childhood friend Krishna — 11 years of technology experience behind him — and Skytrips stopped being a one-man operation. A real team started taking shape around a shared vision.

After years of offline service, Skytrips launched its online portal — bringing the same trusted, community-first booking experience to anyone, anywhere, anytime.
